I am sharing this worldwide action for all dog owners to be aware of the special needs of other dogs like my Sweepy. You may be surprised to find some dog owners or some people who would easily approach a cute dog on leash like mine. I would always advise them to keep a distance because some dogs may not appreciate strangers or other dogs to come near them (or pat them) which is the reason I always ask the permission of the dog handler when I also wanted to approach a dog in public if it would be OK to greet the dog. Dogs need space too just like people. So the next time you see dogs with something yellow tied on them or their leash (it may not be a political statement LOL) please maintain your distance and respect their need for privacy.
