"Placebo Paintings" stems from the drawn parallelism about thoughts on the act of painting to the empty placebo drug that produces miraculous effects. Painting, itself, is empty in pragmatic functions, but this too, is its oxymoronic reflex, as its inability to define itself makes it viable for various audience to to regard its importance. "Placebo Paintings" recognizes the power of the commonly misunderstood medium, or the empty pursuit of painting, to change views, to take an effect on psyches, and for a momentary but reverberating moment, to pinch a nerve in what is our understood humanity that proves to be moving and inspirational . . .
