Working with basic shapes allows people to create images. By allowing them to see the objects and scenes around them by identifying its basic shapes and color it would be easy for them to draw and color.
My workshop this week with a PWD (intellectual disability) focused on the rectangle shape as he creates and recreates images that he sees around him. By allowing him to explore the flat rectangle shape to give it a 3D effect by using perspective and using colors and details derived from memory (ube, chocolate and strawberry ice cream) it would be fun to incorporate these details into colorful chitchats about local culture: sorbetes, not as 'dirty ice cream', but as a local sherbet using local fruits, and the colorful dyip that conveniently transport passengers around the city with reasonable fare rates. . . .
