I, together with friends in art and family, am helping raise funds for artist Alan Rivera in his long battle with lung cancer. We have set up a site where artists can donate an artwork and where one can find the artworks donated by artists for sale. Since we have just started we already have works by Red Mansueto, Hermisanto, Andy Maluche and we are still waiting for works from Gus Albor and Junyee. Alan Rivera is one of the avant garde artists in the 1970s who was part of Shop 6 together with Roberto Chabet, Red Mansueto, Fernando Modesto, Danny Dalena, etc., who explored new ways of artmaking. Alan has done works on paper, canvas, installations, photography, graphic arts and worked at Hemisphere Leo Burnett and J. Walter Thompson Company.
