Painting a Matisse!
The great impressionist painter Henri Matisse painted "Head of a Woman" in 1916 using oil on canvas. In the workshop session I facilitated, the students start by drawing the basic outline before painting using watercolor pencils on watercolor paper.
. . . and here are the students works done in an hour and a half session:
Calia, age 8
Claire, age 8
Chantrice, age 10
Caryn, age 6
and by my special student Ignacio:
A fun way of studying and appreciating a great master work!
