Come In: Interior Design as a Contemporary Art Medium in Germany

This is a major contemporary show of the Metropolitan Museum of Manila for this year. The exhibit investigates the connection between fine art and applied design by means of individual objects, sculptures, installations, and videos. The exhibit will attempt to transcend the utilitarian image of furniture and interior designs to represent ideas, projects, scenic reinterpretations of situations conditioned by certain design and architectural elements.

The German contemporary artists featured in the exhibit are joined by two exciting Filipino artists, Bea Camacho and Alvin Zafra.

The exhibit will open on June 23 with a curator's talk by Dr. Renate Goldmann at 4 PM to precede the formal opening of the exhibit at 6 PM. The exhibit will be open to the public until September 15.
