Inspired from the musical Cats which was performed in Manila last August. The musical inspired a lot of creative exercises in storytelling and writing, music, theater, and of course drawing and colors! But the important part was to sneak in a few reminders about feral cats and stray animals in particular and why there is an urgent need for authorities and individuals to promote responsible ownership of pets and the rights of the animals for proper care and protection in society. As one of the stray cat character in the musical purrs:
". . . touch me!
It's so easy to leave me.
All alone with the memory
of my days in the sun.
If you touch me
you'll understand
what happiness is.
Look, a new day, has begun . . ."
