Cinemalaya Netpac Films!

The UP Film Institute presents the final leg of its ongoing series for the showcase of Cinemalaya Netpac (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema) Films with TJ Trinidad's MKAK (Mga Kahihinatnan ng Aking Kabalbalan) about a lawyer wrongly diagnosed as HIV-positive (screened last September 2), Mes de Guzman's Ang Mundo sa Panahon ng Yelo (Ice Is the Earth) story of two brothers orphaned at a young age in a southern island, Khavn de la Cruz's screen adaptation of Paul Dumol's classic play The Trial of Mister Serapio based on a one-act play which centers on a beggar on trial for taking an orphan girl, and the winner of the Cinemalaya Netpac Prize Arnel Mardoquio's Sheika, a dramatic film that revolves around a woman ravaged by war in Mindanao.

The first leg of the series was shown in August with Adolf Alix's Muli, Joven Tan's Magdamag and John Torres Ninanais.
