This was the late dog Bogart's 'scare' mirror. He had a love-hate affair with it. Dogs bark at their own image in mirrors but when you put the mirror away the dogs look for it. All that 'doggy' attention might require repainting. ;-)
What else can be repainted or repaired to look like new and reused again? A lot! Chairs, lamps, bags, belts, tables, your old sneakers (perfect canvas to paint and decorate!), old socks can be made into great puppets for kids to play and decorate or made into dolls, bottles made perfect dolls too and into lamps, old newspapers can be used for papier-mache projects (think sculpture) and repainted to create faux finishes.
This week is about sorting the things that clutter your home and the challenge is to expand that creativity to make something out of old discarded things. See the recycled mirror above? One of these days I will repaint and convert it into a decorative tray!
